SOLAR BATTERY STORAGE INSTALLATION
THE EFFICIENT WAY TO STORE ENERGY
Installing solar panels is a great way to produce green energy, but what do you do with all the energy they produce? Connecting your PV panels to a battery means that you can store electricity until you are ready to use it. If you’re not sure which type to go for, just give Preseli Solar a call and we’ll help you find the right make and model based on your energy requirements. We work with domestic and commercial clients across Pembrokeshire, West Carmarthenshire and South Ceredigion, so even if you already have panels in place, get in touch and we’ll discuss your options.
SAVE YOUR ELECTRICITY FOR USE LATER
PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST PRICE INCREASES
When was the last time that energy prices went down? Generating and storing your own energy can help to reduce those costs. We install batteries from a wide variety of manufacturers including Tesla, SolaX, Givenergy, Myenergi, Solaredge and Lg Chem as they meet all the demands of our domestic and commercial customers. If you are doing your own research, a couple of things to consider are the usable capacity and cycles. You should never fully discharge a battery, so although a particular make may be sold as 14kWh, its usable capacity may only be 13.5kWh. A discharge and full charge is classed as cycle and can give you an idea of how much electricity your battery will deliver during its lifetime.
WHICH BATTERY IS BEST?
It’s a question we get asked a lot, but it honestly depends on what you’re looking for and your energy use. If you plan on using your battery to charge your electric car, you will want a different model to someone who is only going to power small appliances. The key is to match storage capacity and power output with your solar system and your needs. If you have a small solar system that you cannot expand on, you can also consider drawing energy from the grid at cheaper rates to power your home, using your battery, at the more expensive times of the day. Give us a call and we will be happy to guide you through the process to find the right battery system for your property.
